BEST 10 FREE APPS FOR FIRESTICK

If you have a fire stick, there’s no escaping advertised contents that need additional purchases or even an extra subscription. If you’re looking for free live tv movies and shows these apps can be a little harder to find so I’ve put together a list of what are the top 10 free apps to help.

it’s important to note that some of these apps are only available to download in specific locations. Content will also vary depending on your location and not all titles will be available for everyone. But even if the app is not available for you you can install the app from my download page. I will tell you how to use it at the end of this article. You can access the app’s content by using a VPN which is why ExpressVPN is number one on my list:

2 – Plex

Plex offers global ad-supported videos on demand without any requirements to sign up or create an account. it’s an excellent all-rounder as it has a huge amount of content. Plex carries live tv channels, movies, shows, podcasts, and music. With even an option to link to a plex media server to easily share and stream your video files, DVD, and blu-ray rips and other media. The live tv channels are presented in an easy to use tv guide with categories across the top. Plex offers an exciting lineup of channels where you can even find episodes from popular tv shows such as The Walking Dead, and Killing Eve. In the movies and shows section you can find titles such as the Imitation Game, The Green Hornet, and The Fall. However content will vary depending on location.

3 – Pluto TV

Pluto TV is another amazing free app that is available globally although the content will vary depending on your location. You do not need to sign up for an account you can simply install the app and start watching. Pluto tv offers live tv channels split into categories for almost every taste and interest. You’ll find channels dedicated to entertainment movies, news, reality, crime, comedy, classic tv, sports, and music. Even channels in Spanish, and local news. The sports section is a good place for sports fans to catch up with the latest highlights and news from cbc sports, fox sports, NFL, MLB, MLS, PGA Tour, Combat Sports, Boxing, Wrestling, BSN Sports, MavTV, and Poker. Pluto tv also offers a large on-demand section that is definitely worth taking a look. You can find a load of good selections. Including one of my favorite movies of all time The Wolf of Wall Street, as well as NCIS, Gladiator, Mission Impossible 3, The Karate kid, and Blue Bloods. Another reason why pluto tv is such a great free app to have on your fire stick is, if you have the live tv tab plus integrates with this feature. So you can access all of the pluto tv channels in a full tv guide right from your fire stick home screen.

4 – Peacock

Peacock is absolutely fantastic and offers over 40,000 hours of hit movies, tv shows, and over 50 live tv channels. All are supported by ads. Free titles include episodes of Chicago Med, The Broken Skull, Sessions, Parks and Recreation, Blacklist, Young Rock, Joe Vs Carroll. and movies such as Hancock, 17 again, and A League of Their Own. Over 50 tv channels play 24-7 always-on content. including the best bits from Saturday Night Live. and channels dedicated to Date Line, True Crime, Peacock originals, USA network, and classic tv. You do need to sign up and create an account but you can create individual profiles and kids profiles with fun avatars for personalized viewing. Not everything with peacock is free. You can upgrade to premium for as little as $4.99 per month. This includes access to the WWE Network, all WWE Pay-Per-View Events, English Premier League Football, Olympics, and Super Bowl. Anything with a purple feather icon indicates premium content. And you can’t watch those titles with a free account. But there are some really fantastic movies, shows, and live tv channels that you can watch for zero cost.

5 – Roku

The Roku channel is also a really great free app available right on your firestick. The Roku channel offers live tv channels with a simple tv guide. This includes loads of news channels sports and entertainment channels. you can find movies and tv shows such as Shrek house, man on fire, Miami Vice, the FBI Files, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Rockford Files, Forged in Fire, Apocalypto, and The Mentalist. All for free and you don’t even have to sign up for an account to get started. Just like Netflix, you can enjoy complete seasons and episodes of popular shows without a costly monthly subscription.

6 – Freevee

Freevee is a free video streaming service that offers tv channels movies and shows. Because it’s owned by amazon it’s seamlessly integrated into your fire stick. Open the Freevee app to start browsing the channels. Where you can watch episodes of Hell’s Kitchen, Judge Judy, Person of interest, Unsolved Mysteries, and movies such as 51st State, and The Danish Girl. The video on-demand section has categories for almost every taste and interest. with dramas, documentaries, award-winning movies, horror, action, adventure, tv, and fantasy movies. Also, the tv channels are fully integrated with the live tv tab and tv guide on your fire stick so you can browse right from your home screen.

7 – Tubi

Tubi features over 350,000 movies and shows from over 250 content partners. Including E-network, MGM, Paramount Pictures, Lionsgate, Sony, and the Warner Brothers. You don’t need to sign up or create an account. You can just jump right into the ad-supported content and watch titles such as The Goonies, I Am Legend, Stuart, Little Annie, Sister Act, and Hancock. You can also find some real classics such as the original Batman, tv series from the 1960s, The Bernie Mac Show, Fantasy Island, Rosemary’s Baby, and The Addam’s Family. Tubi also features a selection of Live TV with a whole bunch of news networks sports and entertainment channels. if you have kids they get their own section which puts the Tubi app into kid mode for access to age-appropriate content in one convenient location. Featuring family movies content for preschoolers and lego episodes.

8 – Crackle

Although crackle does not have the most exciting content you can find the odd hidden gems. Again you do not have to sign up for an account or register you can jump right into the content that crackle offers which is movies and tv shows. Thousands of tv shows are separated into categories to take you straight to what you love the best. You can find titles such as 21 Jump Street, Charlie’s Angels, Third Rock From The Sun, Flash Gordon, The Lone Ranger, Sybil and Bear Grylls, and Survival School. Also if you like British tv I did find a few good shows here that i can personally recommend Darren Brown. if you enjoy mentalist-type shows, Father Ted, Fresh Meat, and Plebs. The movies are hit and miss and there is nothing current or mainstream. But crackle offers something for every genre and you may just discover something new.

9 – Redbox

Redbox tv app offers a mixture of titles to rent and titles that are available for free. Thankfully though you don’t have to go trawling around to find the free stuff. It’s all conveniently located in free on-demand and free live tv sections. You can find free movies such as I Am Wrath, The Crazies, It Follows, and Guest House. You’ll find live tv channels with a nice tv guide that has a selection of news, movies, sports, food, comedy, classic tv, kids, music, and local news.

10 – Justwatch

Last but not least, and perhaps the most useful app there is on your firestick is Justwatch. This app is a must-have if you love watching movies and shows but hate trawling around loads of different apps to see what’s available to watch and where. You can just tell Justwatch which streaming services you have access to from a selection of both paid and free services. And just watch will add every movie and every show from all of those services in one central location. So you can see what’s available to watch right now and where to watch it. It will show everything from the streaming services selected in the settings altogether in one place. That makes streaming so much easier.
